Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!

Well more like, "going there, long way to go yet, got the T-shirt"!

I believe if you are going to do something worthwhile then you should create a brand behind it. Sounds a bit corporate I know, but I was keen to make sure we were able to get the message about our challenge out there. If we are visible when we are travelling around then it will hopefully encourage people we meet along the way to follow our journey and donate to the RNLI. So after officially registering our challenge with the RNLI and receiving some useful hints and tips we set about creating a little brand.

It was always our intention to take our two Bears, Frankie and RNLI200 along with us as evidence that we had visited each station. We created this website so that you can follow our progress. We created Social media pages which are proving so helpful when arranging visits and keeping up to date with the amazing work of the various stations around the country.

We wanted a little bit more though. We were given a couple of RNLI lanyards at one of our early visits and so I decided to create a plastic card to hang on the bottom with our various QR codes on that people could scan if they wanted more details. It also doubles up as a place to display our Pins.

From that I created a postcard, again with the vital links and a bit more information about the challenge itself. In a previous hobby we had car stickers with QR codes to promote ourselves so I created one of those as well to sit alongside the official RNLI ones.

Finally we had some polo shirts designed with the Challenge name on so those we met knew instantly what we were doing.

So, look out for us, support us on our journeys and of course if you are able then please donate whatever you can to the RNLI.
